10,000 expected to take part in Walk UAE

Walk UAE is part of ‘Diabetes Knowledge Action’, a public-health campaign organised by the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre. Up to 10,000 people (up 25 per cent on last year) are expected to take part in the walk around the YAS Marina Circuit on 20 November, as part of World Diabetes Month. The circuit is a new race track that hosts the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The ICLDC has also recently run a Ramadan healthy eating show on television, and a ‘lifestyle education awareness’ campaign for healthy eating among children, called I EAT RIGHT.
