C3 Collaborating for Health is co-ordinating the Health and Wellbeing Local Businesses Partnership pilot.

This project stems from the Health at Work Responsibility Deal network. Three large companies – Mars, Unilever and Novo Nordisk – have committed to engaging with small businesses in their locality to extend their workplace health programmes to the employees of those businesses.

In the early part of 2011, each company successfully launched the project in their locality and work with small businesses began. Workplace health activities on offer range from Health Risk Assessments to pedometer challenges to healthy-eating workshops.

C3 will be evaluating the success of this pilot and hopes to form a set of recommendations for other large companies who may wish to lead similar programmes.
