30 May: UN HLP report publication – The UN High-level Panel on the post-2015 development agenda has published its report, A New Global Partnership: Eradicate Poverty and Transform Economies through Sustainable Development (click here >>). for the report, and click here >> for a short C3 summary of the report).

27 May: World Health Assembly – WHO Member States unanimously adopted an Omnibus Resolution on NCDs (click here >>), including endorsing the Global Action Plan on NCDs 2013–2020, adopts the global monitoring framework, and agrees to develop a global coordination mechanism by the end of the year.

The Political Declaration unanimously adopted at the UN HLM set in train a number of key actions for the international community (including the UN and WHO). This section of our website is focusing particularly on the achievement of paragraphs 61 (establishing a global monitoring framework, including indicators) and 62 (preparing recommendations of a set of voluntary global targets) of the Political Declaration.
