Creating a culture of wellness in our cities
For the first time in history, more people live in cities than in rural communities. As the world confronts a crisis of global and planetary health, cities are crucial spaces for rethinking approaches to sustainable development and the creation of a healthier and health-creating society.
C3 is delighted to be a supporting partner of the inaugural Healthy City Design 2017 (HCD 2017) Congress & Exhibition to be held at the Royal College of Physicians, London, UK. HCD 2017 is organised by SALUS Global Knowledge Exchange in collaboration with the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design, Royal College of Art.
This insightful, provocative, and interdisciplinary forum will include a talk from our founder and director, Christine Hancock, about planning neighbourhoods for active living (and C3’s use of the innovative m-health tool CHESS™). Attendees will also hear from Dr Robin Stott, C3’s former Board Chair and current Co-chair of the BMJ Climate and Health Council, during a colloquium session ‘addressing planetary health in cities’, which follows a keynote address from Sir Andy Haines, chair of the Lancet and Rockefeller Foundation Commission on Planetary Health.
Register today to hear from dozens of experts in health and urban planning through SALUS’ website: http://healthycitydesign2017.salus.global/conference-show/healthy-city-design-2017
