Every Mind Matters: Build a practical plan you can use to help maintain and improve your mental health and wellbeing

What is it?

This quiz includes 5 questions for you. The answers will help you build a practical plan you can use to help maintain and improve your mental health and wellbeing.

Take this short quiz to:

  • reflect on how you’ve been feeling over the last 2 weeks and issues that are affecting you
  • get top tips for action you can take, and advice about further support

Once you’ve completed the questions for the first time and emailed your plan, you can revisit and edit it at any time.

Every Mind Matters is aimed at adults aged 18 and over, and is only designed to point you in the right direction. It is not a medical assessment – if you’re worried about your mental health or want to discuss your results you should speak to a health professional.

NHS: REACT Mental Health® conversation training: Empowering you to support the mental health and wellbeing of our NHS people

What is it?

This short remote live training session will enable you to identify people in your team or community who may be struggling with their mental health, initiate a supportive wellbeing conversation, confidently hold the conversation using active listening skills, and signpost them to appropriate support. You will gain new knowledge and have a chance to put this into practice during the session. The training is underpinned by psychologically sound principles and the REACTMH technique comprising of: Recognise, Engage, Actively listen, Check risk, and Talk about specific actions. The REACTMH technique is well-established and has been delivered for the past three years to thousands of people across public and private sector organisations.

Sessions last up to 1 hour 15 minutes and are run remotely using virtual platform technology.

Unmind: Mental health platform

What is it?

Unmind is a mental health platform that empowers staff to proactively improve their mental wellbeing. Using scientifically backed assessments, tools and training you can measure and manage your personal mental health needs, including digital programmes designed to help with stress, sleep, coping, connection, fulfilment and nutrition.

They are offering free access to NHS staff until the end of December 2020, active now.

Stay Alive app: Suicide prevention resource

What is it?

The Stay Alive app is a pocket suicide prevention resource for the UK, packed full of useful information to help you stay safe. You can use it if you are having thoughts of suicide or if you are concerned about someone else who may be considering suicide.

In addition to the resources, the app includes a safety plan, customisable reasons for living, and a life box where you can store photos that are important to you.
