The benefits of physical activity for health and wellbeing

This review provides a snapshot of the scientific evidence of the benefits of physical activity on health, wellbeing, and prevention of non-communicable disease (NCDs). It also presents six case studies as promising examples of 'what works' in different contexts from around the world. 

Review: The benefits of physical activity for health and well-being explores:

  3. the evidence on physical activity interventions
