Become the C3 Chair of Trustees – Applications open!

Role Summary:

C3 is seeking a new Chair who will lead the Board and work closely with C3’s Director and other Trustees to ensure the clear strategic direction, effectiveness, and good governance of the charity.

We seek an individual with enthusiasm for C3’s vision and mission and experience as a charity trustee. Our new Chair will be an independent and strategic thinker, experienced in leading and motivating others through periods of change. The Chair will also act as an ambassador, representing the charity externally, building relationships and advocating for C3 and our work.

About C3 Collaborating for Health

C3’s vision is a world where no one dies of preventable chronic disease because they find it easier to live healthier lives.

C3 is about connecting communities, raising awareness and changing lives. We are a registered charity working in the UK and internationally to tackle the epidemic of chronic disease that causes three-quarters of deaths worldwide. Our work focuses on prevention of these diseases: by creating collaborations to improve what we eat and drink, increase physical activity and stop tobacco use, millions of premature deaths could be avoided across the world each year.

We work with many different communities, health professionals and organisations to help people better understand the risk factors for chronic disease, and be empowered to take action to live more healthily. Our work programmes include community engagement, education on food and nutrition, nursing leadership and an international seminar series.

In 2024 our new Chair will provide vision and leadership as we consider our strategic options, and find new and sustainable ways to continue our valuable work raising awareness and collaborating with others to prevent chronic disease.
