Discrimination and Prejudice

This section explains what prejudice and discrimination is and what strategies you can use to challenge and tackle it.

Experiencing prejudice and discrimination at work or in the community can create fear, anxiety and stress. The toolkit will also encourage us to identify and address our own bias and prejudice, and how we challenge inequality within the workplace.

For more about addressing workplace discrimination you can also view C3’s publication in the British Journal of Primary Care Nursing on how nurses can be powerful advocates for black, Asian and minority patients and colleagues, especially during COVID-19 when they are more at risk for severe disease.
